Messiah in the Passover Seder 2025 Part 1 of 2
Mar 26, 2025 • Pastor David Trubek
The Israelites have been celebrating the Passover for the past 3500 years ever since commanded by God to put the blood of the lamb on the two doorposts and lintel of each house (according to Exodus 12). Whoever obeyed God's command, when God struck the firstborn (the Tenth Plague), He would passover any house where He saw blood.
There is much symbolism in the Passover meal that points to the ultimate blood sacrifice, which was that of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He was without sin (unleavened), striped and pierced (like Matzo bread), and many other symbols that you observe as you enjoy this Seder presentation.
